Shannen Doherty: An Open Letter

Hi Shannen,

I would like to start by saying that over the last years I have seen how strong you truly are and how strong you continue to be. I am so grateful for the fact that you seem to be surrounded by supportive people that get you through the most difficult moments of your life, and it’s truly beautiful to see the amount of love they have for you, and you for them.

Part of me is truly breaking to see you go through such hard times, because even though you’ve never met me, you were a huge part of my childhood. Being my favourite character in Charmed, I was introduced to your amazing talents as an actress, but it was more than that. My mum, myself and my brother used to watch Charmed reruns every single night, and it became a routine that I will cherish forever.

When my mum passed away back in 2009, this routine went away but it’s always stayed in my heart how precious every character in that show is, and re-watching it, specially the beginning seasons, brings me a sense of comfort like nothing else – just like my mum is right there with me watching it, and I feel much closer to her.

This day marks the 11^th year since she’s left us, and I just wanted to say thank you for helping create such a beautiful show that brings me so much comfort every time I watch it, I don’t know what I would do without it.

Thank you for being such an amazing human being and stay strong, just as you’ve always been. You are truly talented and I keep watching all the work you’ve put out so far 😊
