Escape Your World
Sometimes you just need a little break from the real world and go into a fantasy world. Sometimes all it takes is a good book, a good game, a good movie. Reading and writing for me is like escaping my real life and stepping into a completely different world where everything is possible.
One of the books (or shall I say series of books) that completely took me away to a new world where nothing was impossible was the Eragon Saga. The four incredible books written by the very talented and amazing Christopher Paolini completely took me away to a land where I got to meet elves, magical creatures from all over this fantasy world, where I could fly and meet dragons, where you can have a bond with others so strong that it trumps anything else.
These books came into my life at a time that I really needed to get away, and to this day they hold a special place in my heart. The way Christopher worked on a map to describe this land, the way he approaches each character, all details are so real that you really feel like you are a part of something incredible.
What are some of your favourite books and how have they helped you?

Anything by Rick Riordan. His books never get old for me. And the Christy Miller and friend series by Robin Jones Gunn. Her books are very helpful in facing everyday life.

I am such a child! I love the Harry Potter series. I had just came home from 3 months at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and a new book was coming out. I read the 800 plus book in one day. It helped me to think about my dreams. Thanks for sharing.

I love good books alright, and I read a lot of them (from different genres). I particularly enjoy thrillers and adventure novels from the likes Dan Brown and Reginald Hill. But lately I have been reading more of magazines. Can’t tell if my taste is changing (that should be it). I just keep grabbing good magazines and devouring their contents.
