It’s All About Perspective

Perspective plays a vital role in our lives. How you look at a situation shapes the way you view life, shapes your feelings towards an experience and how you’ll remember it.

Just like in a photograph, perspective completely changes the mood of a picture and how that moment will be remembered in history. You can take a picture of the same subject in different lights, different angles, or even with different surroundings, and it completely changes the way that subject is perceived.

If you alter your mindset to accept change and accept that things to not stay the same, you’re opening yourself up to happiness. By not resisting everything in life, you’re embracing positivity and  everything good that life has to offer.

I like thinking of different perspectives in any one situation, as it helps me understand and embrace life.

  1. I agree wholeheartedly! For example, a few days ago I was drawing a style of art that is very different from my usual style and there was a brief moment that I began to feel a little frustrated. At that moment, I heard my inner critic telling me “you can’t do this, why bother it’s not your style of drawing.” However, I decided to turn it around and tell myself “you know what just do your best and good for you for trying something new, after all, that’s how you grow as an individual and as an artist.”

    • I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I get frustrated while drawing, but I know it’ll come together in the end and that I did my best, that’s all that matters 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

  2. i really needed this, as someone who’s trying to become more positive as a person and trying to spread positivity around this really opens up my mind to seeing that change won’t harm you in the end and that it isn’t all too bad, you just have to allow yourself too. thank you for posting this, it gave me the reminder that i needed
